Drawing on over two decades in teaching and school leadership, I’ve developed a groundbreaking approach to nurturing growth mindsets and enhancing learning outcomes. My innovative Mindset Continuum expands on Carol Dweck’s Growth Mindset theory, providing educators with practical tools to foster self-aware, resilient learners. My signature concept of Learnership elevates learning from an act to an art, offering a transformative framework for education.
By integrating curiosity, resilience and continuous growth into the learning experience, my work with schools is producing more capable learners and transforming classrooms into thoughtful, enriching spaces. This approach paves the way for a more effective and fulfilling educational journey, empowering both students and educators to reach their full potential.
I’ve poured my expertise and insights into five published books, alongside various e-books and teaching resources. My latest book, Learnership: raising the status of learning from an act to an art in your school, is set to become the talk of every teacher.
I’m the creator of The Mindset Continuum™ and the concept of Learnership. I also consult for the Institute for Habits of Mind, where I developed the Habits of Mind Learner Profile™.
As a Certified Speaking Professional, I regularly share my expertise at conferences worldwide, both in-person and virtually. My work has been featured in The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, and top-rated parenting and education podcasts like Dr. Justin Coulson’s Happy Families and Renee Jain’s Confident Child Summit.
During a three-year partnership with Asquith Girls High School, we worked together to implement a program that yielded incredible outcomes. The program’s success was recognised nationally, achieving finalist status in the 2022 Australian Education Awards.
